How to locate Message Templates: Redbox → Marketplaces → Select a Marketplace → Messaging

Every marketplace has its own set of message templates, which cover the transactional emails and push notifications your customers receive when they order. Your templates are pre-populated and ready for you to customise to suit your tone of voice.

Available Templates

The following templates are sent automatically by email or push notification:

  • Registration - Sent when a customer creates an account. Email only.

  • Reset - Sent when a customer resets their password. Email only.

  • Accept Collection - Sent when a collection order is accepted.

  • Accept Delivery - Sent when a delivery order is accepted.

  • Table Collection - Sent when a table order is accepted.

  • Fail - Sent when an order is not accepted and has been automatically rejected.

  • Reject - Sent when an order is rejected.

  • Cancel - Sent when an order is cancelled.

  • Ready Collection - Sent when an order is ready for collection.

  • Ready Delivery - Sent when an order is ready for delivery.

  • Complete - Sent when an order is completed.

  • Update Time - Sent when time has been added to an order.

  • Invite to Discount - Sent when a business offers a customer a member discount.

Each template, excluding Registration and Reset, has both an email and a push template which needs to be completed.

Adding Variables

Each template has a list of variables at the bottom of the page. Select a variable to copy it to your clipboard, ready to paste where required within the template. You can add colours to fit your brand using the Email Theme tab.

Keeping Templates Up to Date

When you save a message template, it stores a copy of your marketplace details as they are at that time. This includes your marketplace name, logo, contact address and social media links. If you change any of these details later, your templates will continue to show the previous information until they are saved again.

To update your templates after changing your marketplace details:

  1. Select the ‘Email Theme’ tab.

  2. Select ‘Save’. This updates all of your standard templates.

  3. Open and save each campaign template individually, as these are not included in step two.

SMS Configuration

The SMS configuration allows you to set the SMS sender ID. This is the sender name your customers see on their device when they receive a marketing SMS from your marketplace.
