Only available for customer ordering Website 2.0 and Mobile App v5.0+

Marketplaces can customise the URL for the outlet list on the customer ordering website 2.0, creating a more tailored site experience. For example, a florist marketplace could choose ‘florists’ as their URL, resulting in an outlet list URL such as www.floristsareus.com/florists.

Alongside the customisable URL, a marketplace can also customise the checkout message placeholders and the outlet list header. The checkout message placeholders include placeholders for the Age Restriction message, Special Instructions, Order Notes, and notes related to the Delivery, Collection and Table Services available on both the customer ordering website 2.0 and app v5.0+

How to customise the outlet list URL

Navigate to the Redbox Management Portal → Select Marketplaces → Select the required marketplace → Select Details → Under Settings, see URL Path → Enter a URL Path → Select Save.

The chosen word for the URL Path will also be used in other areas of the website. The chosen word will also be applied to the wording on the home pages postcode input header and button, and on the back button header on the categories results page.

Selecting the best keyword for your outlet list URL is crucial for your brand and your online presence, it can contribute to a positive user experience and can enhance the SEO of the website, it is very important to select a keyword which is specific to the marketplace and is relevant to what your potential customers may be looking for. How to customise the outlet list header

Navigate to the Redbox Management Portal → Select Marketplaces → Select the required marketplace → Select Website → Under Outlet List → Enter the desired outlet list header → Select Save.

The outlet list header will only display when the customer has selected all the fulfilments on the outlet list’s service component.

How to customise the checkout messages

Navigate to the Redbox Management Portal → Select Marketplaces → Select the required marketplace → Select Details → Checkout Message → Select the checkout message → Enter a placeholder → Select Save.

Types of checkout messages:

Marketplaces can customise the following checkout messages and placeholders:

  • Age Restriction - This message will display on the checkout when the customer has added menu items to the basket that have an age restriction applied to them. If a message is not provided by the marketplace, the message will default to ‘Restricted Items’.

  • Special Instruction - This will appear within the input field on the Special Instructions on each menu item, it is to allow the customer to add special instructions to the individual menu item. If a placeholder is not provided by the marketplace, the input field will remain blank.

  • Checkout Message - This message will appear in the Payment section of the checkout, this message will only appear when the customer has selected a card as their payment option. This should be used to notify your customer of the name which will show on their bank statements. If a message is not provided by the marketplace, no message will appear.

  • Order Note - This will appear with the input field on the Order Note on the basket. It is to allow the customer to add a general note on the order. If a placeholder is not provided by the marketplace, the input field will display as ‘Add a note to your order’

  • Delivery Note - This will appear within the input field on the Delivery Note on the checkout. It is to allow the customer to add a note for the delivery driver. If a placeholder is not provided by the marketplace, the input field will display ‘e.g. We are the house with the red door.’

  • Collection Note - This will appear within the input field on the Collection Note on the checkout. It is to allow the customer to add a note for their collection. If a placeholder is not provided by the marketplace, the input field will display ‘Add a collection note for the business’

  • Table Service Note - This will appear within the input field on the Table Service Note on the checkout. It is to allow the customer to add a note for the server. If a placeholder is not provided by the marketplace, the input field will display ‘Add a table service note for the business’
