Testing

We at Redbox do internal testing before and after each release. However, with each new marketplace launch, app update or terminal update, we suggest you do your own end-to-end testing. What is end-to-end testing? End-to-end is a method of testing, this is done on Management, web, apps and terminals, it is used to test a workflow from beginning to end. All testing should be done against the staging environment. We suggest testing real user scenarios so that the system can be validated for integration and data integrity.

What should you test?

A new marketplace launch would require all the below testing, however, individual testing can be done according to the new app or terminal release.

What card can I use to test card payments?

You can test that Paybox is collecting payments correctly through your test website, or by testing a version of your app. Test versions of your app and website will be connected to the staging server, so live card payments will not be made.

Before you start any tests, first make sure your staging marketplace and businesses are attached to a Paybox account.

For non-SCA testing use: 4242 4242 4242 4242, Exp: 10/23, CVC: 737 - this will never ask the user to authorise the payment.

For SCA testing use: 4000 0027 6000 3184, Exp: 10/23, CVC: 737 - this will always ask the user to authorise the payment.
