Breadcrumbs

Waybox.

Waybox is Korelogic's fleet and driver management platform, built to integrate directly with Redbox. It gives marketplaces the ability to build and operate their own delivery network alongside existing third-party courier integrations such as Stuart and Uber Direct.

Waybox automates the delivery workflow, creating jobs from Redbox orders, assigning them to available drivers, and syncing delivery progress back to Redbox in real time. Customers receive live tracking throughout, from dispatch through to delivery.

What You're Responsible For

Operating a Waybox-powered delivery network means the marketplace manages its own delivery operation, including:

  • Creating and managing fleets and drivers

  • Configuring delivery pricing

  • Managing delivery availability and operating hours

  • Monitoring live driver activity

Booking a Delivery

When a customer places a delivery order, Redbox sends the request to Waybox before the order reaches the outlet. The sequence is as follows:

  1. The customer places a delivery order.

  2. Redbox sends the delivery request to Waybox.

  3. The order status changes to Booking while Waybox searches for an available driver.

  4. Once a driver is assigned, the job enters an On Hold state, displayed to the driver in red with a "Waiting for Outlet" status. The driver knows to wait; the order has not yet been sent to the outlet terminal.

  5. The order is sent to the outlet for acceptance or rejection.

  6. Once the outlet accepts the order, the job is released from hold. It moves to amber once accepted but before it's time to head to pickup, and green when it's time to go.

  7. Waybox syncs driver and delivery status back to Redbox throughout the journey, giving outlet staff visibility of progress and customers live tracking updates.

  8. Once delivery is complete, the order is automatically updated in Redbox.

This flow ensures outlets only ever receive orders that have a confirmed driver, avoiding preparation of food for a delivery that can't be fulfilled.

When a Job Can't Be Assigned

If Waybox is unable to automatically assign a driver to a delivery job, the job is added to the Exceptions List in Waybox Management. From here, a fleet manager can either manually assign the job to an available driver or cancel it.

Cancelling a job from the Exceptions List rejects the associated Redbox order before it reaches the outlet terminal, so no food is prepared for a delivery that can't be fulfilled.

Driver Rejects a Job: If an assigned driver rejects a job, Waybox will attempt to automatically reallocate it to another available driver. If no suitable driver can be found, the job moves to the Exceptions List for manual intervention.

Delivery Pricing and Subsidies

Delivery quotes are calculated using the pricing configured in Waybox and returned to Redbox at checkout. You can choose to pass the full delivery cost to the customer, or subsidise it — this works in the same way as other Redbox delivery integrations.

Any delivery charges paid by customers are transferred to the marketplace, less any subsidy applied.

Paying Drivers

Driver payments are currently managed manually by the marketplace outside of Redbox and Waybox. Automated driver payment processing is coming soon, and will allow driver payments to be handled directly through the platform.
