Bank Holiday Mondays

A Bank Holiday Monday moves one payout to the Tuesday. That payout covers 8 days and is larger than usual. The next one covers 6 days and is smaller. You still receive everything.

The normal cycle

Paybox pays out every Monday, covering orders from the previous Monday to Sunday, 7 days.

When Monday is a Bank Holiday

Payments can't be processed on the Bank Holiday, so the payout moves to the Tuesday. That shifts the next two cycles out of their usual shape:

Higher than usual

The following Monday

6

Lower than usual

The Monday after that

Back to normal

Using the August 2026 Bank Holiday as an example:

  • Tuesday 1 September covers Monday 24 August to Monday 31 August

  • Monday 7 September covers Tuesday 1 September to Sunday 6 September

  • Monday 14 September is back to the normal Monday to Sunday cycle

Nothing is lost

The two payouts total the same as two normal weeks. If a payout after a Bank Holiday looks low, it's because that Monday was already paid in the larger payout before it.

Checking a payout

For an order-level breakdown, go to Redbox Management > Businesses > select a business > Outlets > select an outlet > Financial, or open your Paybox Stripe dashboard.

For a marketplace replying to an outlet. Adjust the name and the dates. If the outlet is asking why the payout arrived late rather than why it was small, lead with the second paragraph and drop the third.

Hi [name],

Your payout is smaller this week because of the Bank Holiday on
[bank holiday date]. Nothing is missing.

Payouts normally cover Monday to Sunday and reach you on the Monday.
The banks were closed on the Bank Holiday, so that payout came a day
late on Tuesday [date] and covered an extra day, which made it bigger
than usual. This week's payout covers the six days that were left, so
it looks small.

Across the two weeks you have been paid for the same fourteen days as
always, and you are back to normal from [next payout date].
